An explanation of our process from first contact through to your completed project, and what to expect when you decide to work with OTC Web Design.
You can contact us by calling, emailing, or using the form on our contact page. We will endeavor to get back to you within 24 hours during the working week. Please do leave a message if we don't answer the phone, and know that we value your phonecall. We're a small team and are often in meetings or with our nose to the keyboard finishing up projects.
When we talk to you we will listen closely to your requirements, offering advice and suggestions where appropriate. Based on your needs we can usually give you some rough ballpark numbers at this stage. If after our conversation and feedback you decide we are a good fit, we'll get you a detailed estimate and cost breakdown for you to consider.
When you give us the go-ahead, we'll draw up a contract and ask you to sign it to make it all official. We require a 50% retainer at this stage to cover initial job costs, and for jobs with a total budget of over $4000 we also require a 25% progress payment to be paid at a an agreed milestone in the job. Don't worry this will all be detailed in the Contract.
This is a key part of the process. We need as much information and content from you as you can possibly give us so we can make your new website, SEO plan or website updates project the best it can possibly be. For some projects, we will give you a detailed questionnaire to complete. We will also need you to submit all images, text, existing brochures, social media accounts, and any other references that will be useful to our designers.
This is where we put our heads down and make the magic happen. With meticulous attention to detail, we will plan, design and build your website, plan and make your updates or research and implement your agreed SEO Strategy. You may hear from us a little or a lot during this period depending on whether we need clarifications. At the end of this stage, we will present a prototype of your new website, 1st draft of updates or an SEO progress report.
Once you've had a chance to review the first draft or progress report we will arrange to meet to get your feedback and discuss any revisions or changes you want to make. If we are still outstanding any content at this stage, now is the time to get it to us as we won't be able to go live without it. Once revisions are made, we complete a final proof check, and make your new website, updates or SEO work live. Job done!
